Ted HaleTed Hale serves as the Director for the Archives and Records Management and Capitol Museum branches of  Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records. His primary duty is to help the agency better steward its public funding through grants, cooperative agreements with area non-profits, fundraisers and other means.

Working in coordination with the divisions of the agency and outside organizations, activities include research and strategic planning for programs ranging from providing state wide Job Help Hubs to making disaster response supplies available to agencies across the state. He has over 30 years’ experience in grant writing, creating corporate partnerships, and fund raising for non-profits and several university foundations.

Previously, Ted served as the General Manager of the Midland-Odessa Symphony and Chorale from 1997-2006, helping foster a 20% increase in attendance and revenue. He also served as principal trombone. Ted has toured, performed and recorded with Bob Hope, Dionne Warwick, the Spinners, Disney on Ice and others. He continues to perform with the Tempe Symphony, Southwest Symphony (NM) and other area ensembles.

He holds a D.M. from Indiana University, M.M., University of Hartford and a B.M. from Capital University. Ted is a member of the Phi Lambda Theta international honors society.
