A Lunch Date with Arizona History

Lunch Bunch at the Arizona Capitol Museum is a free program of Arizona history and current events. It is held on the third Wednesday of the month.

An African-American Journalist and Legislator Cloves Campbell, Jr. has represented District 16 in the Arizona State Legislature since 2007. He is the publisher of the family owned and operated Arizona Informant, an important voice for the African-American community throughout Arizona. Representative Campbell describes his service to his readers and legislative constituents.

Women have played a vital role in the Arizona political tradition. Celebrate Women’s History Month with Heidi Osselaer as she traces the political participation of Arizona women from the territorial period to after World War II.

From Cowboys to Cavalrymen,
Rough Riders of the Arizona Territory

A state of war existed between the United States and Spain on this date in 1898. Lasting from April to August, the Spanish-American War is often overlooked, but it is an essential part of Arizona history. Meet Rough Rider reenactors and learn the story of this unique conflict.

The Arizona Trail is an 800 mile hike stretching from the Utah to Mexican borders. It is intended to be a primitive, long distance trail that highlights the state's topographic, biologic, historic and cultural diversity. Dave Hicks, Executive director of the Arizona Trail Association, will talk about the trail’s beginnings and what is needed for its completion.
