Claire Berman (March 30, 2006) -- Author of Caring for Yourself While Caring for Your Aging Parents. The book is based on interviews with geriatricians, psychologists, nurses, lawyers, social workers, home aides, nursing home directors and personnel. Claire spoke to other caregivers, who shared their coping mechanisms with her. The second edition contains new information on nursing homes, with updated statistics and resources throughout.
Ellen Freudenheim (March 2, 2006) -- Ellen Freudenheim is a researcher and writer from Brooklyn, New York. Her most recent publication is Looking Forward: An Optimist’s Guide to Retirement, is a 350-page non-financial lifestyle guidebook for baby boomers and their older siblings.
Pamela Hamilton (May 11, 2006) -- Pamela Hamilton successfully made the transition from “career” to “post-career employment” and found what to do with her “Bonus Years” along the way. She shares her passionate interest in local foods and authentic ingredients via her role as publisher of Edible Phoenix. She has enjoyed living, food shopping and dining around the world. Currently a resident of Arizona, she will publish the Phoenix Food Fanatic Handbook in the summer of 2006.
Dr. Ruth Heidrich (March 2, 2006) -- Dr. Heidrich, author of Senior Fitness, is a six-time Ironman Triathlon finisher, holder of more than 900 gold medals from every distance from 100 meter dashes to 5K road races to ultramarathons and triathlons. She has completed more than 60 marathons all over the world, including Boston, New York, Moscow, and has held 3 world fitness records in her age group at the famed Cooper Clinic in Dallas, Texas.
