  You are invited to schedule your next meeting at the historic Carnegie Center, a Phoenix landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building and grounds are available for use. Built in 1908 with grant money from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, it was the first public library building in Phoenix and home of the Phoenix Public Library until 1954. Now part of the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, the Carnegie Center is centrally located and wheelchair accessible. The facility offers free visitor parking in the parking garage directly across the street in addition to the curbside parking on Washington and Jefferson Streets. To inquire about available dates and times, contact Gloria Rojel by email or 602-926-3365 up to six months prior to the meeting date.

Eligible Groups
Arizona state and local government agencies and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations may use the facility at no charge. Nonprofit organizations may be asked to provide IRS documentation confirming their 501(c)(3) tax status.

Hours of Operation
The building is available for use Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The building can accommodate groups of up to 120 participants.

What’s Included
The Carnegie Center offers meeting space in four areas on two floors. To facilitate presentations, an array of audiovisual equipment is available for use at no cost under Carnegie Center staff supervision. A wireless computer lab featuring 20 laptop computers and high-speed internet access is available. Audio-visual needs must be requested at the time of application and confirmed at least one week prior to the meeting.

1) Main Floor of the Building Back

The main floor will seat up to 120 theater style, up to 60 with classroom style tables and chairs, and 40 with round tables. It includes a portable screen, a sound system, and an LCD projector.

2) Conference Room Back

The small conference room will accommodate 8-12 comfortably around the conference table.

3) Downstairs Auditorium Back

The auditorium will seat up to 65 theater style and up to 60 with tables and chairs. It includes a built-in screen and LCD projector.

4) Patio Back

An open patio is situated off the auditorium.
