ERIN PAWLUS

Completing our Reader Advisor roster is Erin Pawlus. Her primary duty will be performing Reader Advisory for those patrons with last names beginning S-Z. She will also be assisting our studio department with the Arizona Collection. Erin would like our patrons to know:

“I am a Northeast Phoenix native, though I spent about five years away in Southern California before returning to my home state.

I received my Masters in Information Resources and Library Science from the University of Arizona in 2004. I worked as a reference librarian for the Maricopa County Library District before moving to Southern California with my husband. While there, I was a librarian at the Burbank Central Library and was kept happy and busy in many areas: home borrower coordinator, volunteer coordinator, reference, collection development, and cataloging. I also took the train into work most days, which provided me some relaxing time to read while avoiding the notoriously bad LA traffic. I’m excited to be back in the Valley of the Sun and look forward to meeting my patrons. I also appreciate being back in a city where green corn tamales exist! They, along with family and friends, were sorely missed.”

Erin keeps us thinking and brings a fresh perspective to the job. She has already proven that we have a winner in town. Truly, the Arizona Braille and Talking Book Library “Beat LA” in acquiring Erin. If you have the opportunity, please welcome her home.
