Do you miss reading the daily newspaper? Would you like to be able to read the paper at a time most convenient to you? Are you interested in browsing a newspaper from a city where you once lived? Newsline® may be just what you need! Created under the auspices of the National Federation of the Blind and funded by Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records and Rehabilitation Services Administration/Department of Economic Security, Newsline® allows you to listen to 240 different newspapers over your phone. You simply dial a toll-free number and use your touch tone telephone to select the paper, section and even the article you would like to listen to. The list of local newspapers available includes the Arizona Republic, the Arizona Daily Star and the East Valley Tribune. Some of the other newspapers on the list are the New York Times, the Washington Post, the LA Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Christian Science Monitor. There are four Spanish language papers available as well as a few magazines including the New Yorker and Diabetes Self Management. Television listings were recently added.
