NEW DESCRIBED VIDEOS

The Library has ordered new described videos for our movie collection. Described videos have an added audio track, allowing a narrator to describe the action when the dialog doesn’t sufficiently indicate the plot development and to describe the scenery and costumes. The new videos are Brokeback Mountain, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, Chicken Little, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Date Movie, Eight Below, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Jarhead, King Kong, The Producers, and The Wedding Date.

After Pirates of the Caribbean came out in 2003, pirates seemed to become popular again, or at least the romanticized Hollywood version of pirates became popular. We’ve purchased a trio of classic Hollywood pirate movies for all of you who just can’t get enough of all things pirate! They are Blackbeard, the Pirate with Robert Newton and Linda Darnell, Captain Kidd starring Charles Laughton and Randolph Scott, and Long John Silver’s Return to Treasure Island featuring Robert Newton and Connie Gilchrist.
