ARIZONA BOOK FESTIVAL
The Arizona Book Festival will be held Saturday, April 1, at the Carnegie Center, 1101 W. Washington Street, Phoenix, from 10 am until 5 p.m. This year’s event will feature authors Mark Spragg, Rick Moody, Jodi Picoult, Diana Galbadon, Richard and Lois Shelton, Polly Horvath and many others.
Spragg and Horvath are the OneBookAZ authors this year and you will have the opportunity to listen to their presentations and perhaps even to ask questions. Rick Moody, Jodi Picoult, and Diana Galbadon are popular authors and this Library has several books by each of them in our collection. Richard Shelton is the author of the spectacular Going Back to Bisbee (RC36851), a Southwest classic, and his wife was Director of the University of Arizona Poetry Center for many years. The pair will receive the inaugural Arizona Literary Treasure Award, make brief remarks and will be interviewed on stage by Shelley Cohn.
There will be dozens of exhibitors, stage presentations, and cookbook demonstrations, and one entire area will be devoted to children’s activities and costumed characters. There is free parking nearby and the event itself is free admission.
