Several AMC theatres in the Phoenix area now offer newly released movies with audio description for the visually impaired. Not every new movie comes with audio description so you’ll have to call one of the numbers listed below to be sure the movie you want to see is described, or check out the WGBH website for a list of the new releases that have description at http://access.wgbh.org. The AMC theatres that offer described movies are AMC Deer Valley 30 (623) 487-1414), AMC Ahwatukee 24 (480-705-4884), AMC Esplanade 14 (602-667-0550), AMC Desert Ridge 18 (480-606-0806), AMC Arrowhead 14 (480-487-9556), Mesa Grand (480-503-1680), and AMC Arizona Center (602-307-5371).
