Historical Note

Mike Padian is a commercial photographer, and a muralist, in Arizona. The collection consists of images of Phoenix, primarily downtown, taken between 1988 and 1999. Mike Padian took the images as part of his commercial photography business. In addition to providing stock images for magazines like Get Out, he was the staff photographer for Bike Magazine(as well as an avid rider).

Scope and Content

The collection consists of 1100 35mm color slides in 3 boxes. All rights, including copyright, transferred to Arizona State Archives.

Processing Note

Each slide is numbered beginning with Phnx, to indicate Phoenix. The slide number is truncated to just the number for clarity of reading. Additionally, the photographer/donor retained a number if images he deemed his favorite. The identification numbers of the images he retained are noted in their proper sequential order.
