Oliver L. Greer

(1895-1918)
Historical Note

Born in Lexington, Kentucky December 3, 1847, Oliver Louis Greer came to Arizona in the 1890s and lived in Congress Junction and Martinez, Yavapai County. At various times during his stay in Arizona he was the manager of the Martinez Mercantile Company, the general manager of the Arizona Development and Improvement Company, President of the Arizona Gold Company, and agent for the Krom Dry Concentrator Company and the Home Fire and Marine Insurance Company. He was elected to the Territorial Legislature in 1900 as a Democrat.  He died in June of 1921 in La Verne, California.

Scope and Content

The bulk of the material is from 1903-1910. The collection consists of business and personal correspondence regarding mining companies and mining equipment.
