Greenlee County


Greenlee County was established March 13, 1909, as Arizona's fourteenth county. It was named for Mason Greenlee, a Virginian who settled in the Clifton area in 1874. It was established from the eastern portion of Graham County, and the county seat has always been in Clifton.

SG 9. Board of Supervisors Correspondence. 1903-1945. 3 c.f. (3 boxes).
The first letters have to do with school bonds, 1903 and 1908, authorized while area was still part of Graham County. Arranged chronologically.
