Your 2007 Archives Month Poster

This year we had over 100 photograph submission for the 2007 Arizona Archives Month poster. Unfortunately, we were only able to select 10 photographs to appear on the poster. However, due to the excellent quality of the submissions this year we have elected to showcase select photographs that did not make it on to this year's poster. Honorable Mention.

Join us and other Arizona repositories in celebrating Arizona Archives Month 2006. The purpose of Archives Month is to celebrate the value of Arizona's historical records, to publicize the many ways these records enrich our lives, to recognize those who maintain our communities' historical records and to increase public awareness of the importance of preserving historical records in repositories, institutions and tribal archives across the state. It's time to enlighten and enliven your communities, and to have some fun.

The theme of this year's Archives Month is " Arizona at Work." During this year's Arizona Archives Month, October 2006, we encourage you to make a special effort to share your collections and expertise and to think of ways in which your organization or local government can celebrate Archives Month in your community.

The potential projects are varied and many, so let us know what you're planning, and we'll make sure it's publicized on our website. Contact Melanie Sturgeon or Jennifer Albin. Both can be reached at (602) 542-4159.
