Mandate
Authorized by A.R.S. § 41-1332, the Board of Library, Archives and Public Records exercises general supervision over the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, and appoints the Director of the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records. The Director serves at the pleasure of the Board.Membership
The Speaker of the House of Representatives serves as Chairman in even-numbered years, and the President of the Senate serves as Chairman in odd-numbered years. One member of the Senate is appointed by the President of the Senate, and one member of the House of Representatives is appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.The Board
